POSITION SUMMARY:

The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for managing the efficient operation of the warehouse and groundskeeping for Asher Facilities. Work involves managing inventory, unloading incoming deliveries, picking up product and scheduling fleet maintenance.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Works to improve efficiency of operations of the warehouse by identifying problems, reviewing, and recommending revisions to procedures or taking other appropriate measures to resolve them
  • Inspects incoming products for conformity to purchase orders and packing slips; communicates shortages, damages, and errors in received inventory through proper channels
  • Manually unloads all incoming deliveries; sorts and moves received products to appropriate area
  • Maintains general knowledge of customers, vendors, products, and services offered
  • Organizes shop and stages equipment/parts for installation and service jobs; maintains safety and cleanliness of the warehouse; assists installers and install foremen with questions and project loading
  • Schedules and coordinates repair work; collaborates with Installation Manager regarding time requirements and downtime
  • Reviews data on past and current maintenance performance; prepares and maintains records and reports; creates and follows preventative maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment
  • Maintains inventory levels required to support installations; provides inventory reports, maintains re-order points, ensures ordered inventory is received, communicates inventory needs to Production Manager
  • Communicates with foremen on jobsites; purchases needed products and delivers to jobsite
  • Operates company vehicles, forklift, and other warehouse tools and equipment
  • Performs lawn care and snow removal for Asher facilities, storage, and rental units
  • Performs minor maintenance on rental units; communicates with rental tenants
  • Assists in product installations as necessary to maintain production workflow
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge, continually seeks opportunities to enhance skills
  • Creates and supports a safe work environment on the job site to protect own health and the interest of the company at all times
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse setting using an inventory system
  • Previous experience operating a gas-powered forklift

LICENSES, CERTIFICATION, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record
  • Must possess and maintain forklift certification within 6 months of hire

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Regularly required to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl
  • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance.
